Berlin-based climate tech start-up ampere.cloud is on a mission to transform the energy sector by making the deployment and operation of clean energy sources easier and more affordable. Founded in 2019 by Frederik Merz, Florian Strunck, and Erik Nitschke, the company’s platform supports the management of renewable energy plants by connecting and monitoring facilities via the Internet of Things (IoT).

Now, with the help of a €5 million Series A financing round, led by Point Nine Capital (P9) and including Helloworld.vc, Vireo Ventures, and HGDF Familienholding GmbH & Co. KG, ampere.cloud is set to supercharge its expansion plans across Europe. The funds will enable the company to accelerate product development, expand its technology capabilities, and take its solutions to new markets.

“We’re thrilled to have won the support of such renowned investors, old and new, and we’re more than ever committed to our mission of enabling the energy transition,” says Frederik Merz, CEO of ampere.cloud. “This latest round of funding will allow us to supercharge product development, expand our technology capabilities, and take our solutions to new markets, transforming the energy sector on a global scale.”

The investors are equally excited about the potential of ampere.cloud’s innovative technology. “With their innovative technology focusing on making deployment and operating of clean energy sources, like solar, easier and cheaper, we believe that ampere.cloud is poised for massive success and growth,” says Pawel Chudzinski, Partner at P9. “We can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

ampere.cloud’s platform is already helping renewable energy plant owners to increase the efficiency of their facilities. With the support of its new investors, the company is now poised to take its solutions to a wider audience, bringing us all a step closer to a greener, cleaner future.
